When something seems to good to be true, it most likely is.
We found this wonderful house in January, perfect location- like 5 minutes from where our kids go to school. Close to town and with enough room for all of us. They were willing to do owner financing, which was great!
I get a call this morning, that the owner is filling for bankruptcy, and that we are paid up until the end of the month and will need to move by then. I had quite a few red flags since we moved in, so I should have been prepared for some shady stuff.
When we moved in, work needed to be done on the downstairs bedrooms, doors needed to be put up and one needed to be wired for heat. I was told that they would start working on them the next week- here we are two months out and no work has been done.
He also told us that our first month and deposit was going towards the taxes on the house( because they had to be paid that month, which was the end of January) I just looked on line and not only were the taxes not 1000.00 like he told us, but 500 and they had already been paid in Dec.
I am so ticked off, and pretty stressed out. We have til the end of the month to find a new house, and move. And well it's pretty expensive to move. Plus having to find a house on top of it. And things with G and her behavior have been going really well, and she doesn't deal well with change, so this should be great!!
I sure hope I sell lots of Scentsy and Thirty One this month....LOL

I became a Scentsy Mama TWICE this week and other exciting stuff :)
So other then starting the week with a nasty allergic reaction to something, that we still don't know what it is from, this week has been pretty fantastic. So here's the highlights!
Scentsy is booming!! I have two new team members this week, and I am so excited. I have order's coming in, I've sent samples and thank you cards to each person that's placed an order last month and this month. Things are starting to fall into place and I love it! When I signed up, I signed up just because I wanted to support my "habit". Now I am booking party's, growing my team, and loving every minute of it! It help's so much when you are on a team that's like a family and so supportive. I ♥ my Scentsy family and I am glad that it is growing!
Things with G are improving ALOT, she is now on her 2 week break from school, but she has went 8 whole school day's in row with no problems. She seems happier, shes listening better and I don't want to pull my hair out anymore...lol It has been a frustrating for us as parents to watch her struggle, because she really is such a sweet kid. She is so ready to go back to cheering, I felt horrible last weekend when her best friend was competing, and she wanted nothing more then to be there. Less then 2 month's til the new season starts, and I am not going to lie, I am just as ready to be back with my "cheer mom besties" as she is to be back with her bestie!
Were down to less then 2 weeks til K leaves for her big band trip to cali, yes I am letting my daughter fly across the country with 110 other students, parents, and staff to compete. It a huge honor to be in a band that takes trips like that, and I am so glad she is getting to experience this. One of my very best friend's is going, so that makes me feel much better! Then she comes home, and is going on a mission trip to NYC for spring break. I'm hoping that she will be humbled at how little some people actually have, and realize that not every person wears 75$ jeans from the mall.
And finally HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY!! 9 year's ago today B and I went out for the very first time, and we have been together ever since. He is having a really pretty Celtic cross redone for me, and I thought that was sweet :)

I really need to get better at this
I really need to get better about blogging. This week has been so busy, and so much going on that this is the first time I have been able to actually think- and sit down!

Meds update
We have had a pretty eventful week at our house. Eventful = a whole lot of changes and craziness. Most of you that read my blog know that we are doing intense behavior mod with our youngest. Well right now she needs something to keep her calmer as we do this. I am not a big fan of meds, neither is her school or her dr. But we all decided that if it was going to help her to calm down to do the behavior mod that we would try them for awhile. So that's where we are at. So far we are seeing improvements, so that's a plus.
I guess it's just really hard as a Mom to watch my baby struggling. She's a really good kid and has a really good heart. So this has been super hard on all of us!

New Meds for the littlest one
I can't belive that I haven't posted anything in like 5 days. Sorry folks, we have had ALOT going on. So we decided that we were going to try G on an ADHD medicine. So far, so good. We are seeing some improvents with the behavior. And hopefully the behavior mod is going to help too. Now they are suggusting trying another medincine with it, and well honestly I am not sure how I feel about it.
I don't have a bad child, shes actully pretty sweet, has a good heart, and is super, super smart. Which is part of the reason that we are going through all this now. She's been given her own way so much, and for so long and babied, that now that it's time for her to do the things that are expected of her, she's acting out- and big time. She doesn't want to do chores or listen at home, and at school she just doesn't want to do the work period. Needless to say it's VERY frustrating. It's so hard to watch your child struggle, and it's also hard to know that people are thinking your not doing what you should be doing as a parent, when you know that you are, and they have no idea what is going on in your house or your life.
When K was little I stayed home, I had plenty of time to help at the school, now that G is in school and I work full time, I feel bad about it. I feel like I should be there more (even though right now I can't help with her class because she has a meltdown with me there) but I still feel like I should be home with her. Going through all of this, and working a full time job on top on it is really starting to take it's toll on me. My job is not the most unstressful job in the world, and it seems like ever since I got my FMLA approved, they are more annoyed because my daughter has appt's and such. And well the only time I really get a break from the behavior is when she is at school, and then I am work. Right now I am not making enough with Thiry One, and Scentsy to be able to stay home, although I wish I was, because I really want to be able to be home.
So that's my post for today, it's kinda not uplifting, or happy, but it's like right now!

I just promoted!!
So I just promoted ( while I will on the 10th when commissions run) to Sr Consultant with Thirty One!! I am super excited, it seems like I have been waiting on this FOREVER!!

I am really trying to promote and grow my team, so this is a huge step for me, and puts me one step closer to being to stay home with my kids!!

Yet another behavior update
I am sure this may possibly be met with some of my readers not agreeing, so before I even post what we are trying I want to be really clear that G's Dr does not like using meds, that's why we have been doing really intense behavior modifications with her. The more we modify, the madder she is getting and the more she is acting out. Which is causing things to be miserable 99.9% of the time for everyone, hr, us the school.
So after much talk and much debate we decided to try her on ADHD meds, to help her focus herself, and then we are going in on Tuesday (because her Dr wants to keep a really close eye on her with her now being on meds) to see if we are noticing any difference, and to possibly talk about a mood stabilizer. She doesn't want to add them together. So that's where we are. I really didn't want to go this route, but right now we have so much going on with our family, and she really needs something to take the edge off.
They took my father in law to the hospital on Monday, and well things are not looking good on that front. It's hard to believe that we have barely known for a month that he has cancer, and now were not knowing if he is even coming out of the hospital. My best friend since we were little kids just lost her husband to cancer this month at 34, I has no idea what she was dealing with until our family is dealing with it too.
So it's been a rough couple days, needless to say that's why I am not blogging as much as I would like to be :)

YAY for Monday!
So please insert as much sarcasm into the title of this post as you feel nessasary! I personally find Monday to be most possibly the most annoying day of the week. My kids are never happy to go back school, they are normally sleepy on Monday morning, because Sunday night is always a struggle for us to get G to go to bed after 2 days of sleeping in. This weekend was alot harder because she spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday home sick. Thankfully everyone is all well in our house now and will hopefully stay that way.
I also find Monday's at work to be quite annoying. For some reason's our customer's are all fired up on Mondays about EVERYTHING. And well some of our employees are super grumpy- again you would think that with two days off they (including me) would be in MUCH better moods! Although today is a pretty fantastic day for me as I am back on 6-3, which I LOVE because I still get out of here with enough time to actually get things done. And I have two full hours of being here in basically peace and quite.
This weekend was pretty low key for us, since everyone in our house was sick. I missed out on a huge vendor event for Thirty One, so that was a huge let down since I really needed the contacts from it! On a direct sales plus for the weekend I did 545.00 within my first 15 days with Scentsy- which I am super excited about!!

I have not been the best blogger this month
Sorry everyone, with everyone in our house being sick, its been super hard for me to get anything done, including blogging!!!
Right now I'm on my kindle, which I am not a fan of posting from. Hopefully next week I will be back to normal and able to write each day, cause I have tons to post about, and get packages out to giveaway winners, and review host's for the month!!!
Oh and I have almost made it to my two month mark, which means, blog makeover!!!!

Being Sick, oh YUCK!!!
So everyone at my house has been sick with this nasty, annoying little running nose, low fever, just feel blah thing. I guess now it's my turn, because when I woke up this morning, now I have it AGAIN. Keep in mind that I felt BLAH last week, and figured it was the same thing everyone else had- I'm guessing either it was, or I have the lovely joy's of getting it not once but twice.
And of course, I have like a thousand things to get done, and be working on. None of which are getting done because of the fact that my head is pounding non stop, and I get to put on the fake " I feel horrible, but I'm am going to set here and smile, because it's my job" which also means, since I am setting at work and not at home resting, that I can count on staying sick for a good while longer. And it's Monday and it was windy and nasty this weekend, so we have lots of happy customers- have I said how much I love my job?!?!?!
Although I do in fact love my other two part time jobs :) It's my regular job that just annoy's me to no end..lol
We did have a pretty uneventful weekend, we went and picked up 200 boxes of girl scout cookies that now I have to sort and deliver. And G went to her bestie's birthday party, which was super fun!
I am still trying to hit my scentsy goal- I have 5 days left, and it's not looking like it's happening. Although I am hoping that I do get some last minute orders and can make it. So I just might make it :) I have some retail Thirty One orders coming in, and a party next week that I am hoping is a pretty good one, with a couple bookings off of it so that I can get going again!!

I'm also for some silly reason, even though I only joined Scentsty because of how much I ordered- I REALLY want to hit that 500$ of sales in the 1st 15 days!!
Today is little one's first counseling appointment, and well I am scared for her. I am worried that things are not going to improve and she is going to need meds. But I will say this weekend, that we did use alot of time out for her target behaviors- No hitting, cursing, are the main two right now. And normally time out is a battle. As if I didn't have enough going on.
As if I don't have enough going on in my life, I have now become a Scentsy Consulent! Mainly just to do online, and retail sales. You can check out my website here- Nikki's Scentsy Site! I have also having a "launch party" which you can order from online- I am trying to meet a goal of doing $500 in my 1st 15 days. So please check it out!

Oh and I work a full time job, have a child with ODD that we are getting intense treatment for, and we just bought a house that we have tons of work to do :) So I guess staying busy if good, then I am pleantey busy! I do hope that I can make enough extra off of both to do the things we need to do to the house, plus we have some hefty bills coming up in the next few months.

Happy Birthday Kate, Being the parent of a child with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Thank Goodness the Spring Catalog has come out!
This has probably been one of the hardest weeks of my life. We are starting intense treatment for my 7 year old. It's really hard, and I really feel alone in it. Her Dad understands, and some of my friends understand. But not everyone understands. And the people that think they understand, want to sit around my office and talk about how if I was consistent with my parenting, and set limit's then maybe my family wouldn't be going through this. And say things like I am using this to come and go as I please, REALLY PEOPLE, do you think that I want this for my daughter. Because I don't, but do I want to put in the time with her so that she can get better, of course I do. What I really would like is for people to mind their own business. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY AMAZING NOW 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER!! I can't believe how fast the time has went. I'm really proud of all the things that she is doing with her life, and the good choices she is making. I am sure that we are going to get things with G under control, and that she will follow in her sister's footsteps- at least at school, because at home she still has the normal typical smart mouth teenage attitude! I am very, very blessed to have to amazing and wonderful daughter's- they really are my whole life!

In other exciting news, Thirty One's new Spring Catalog came out yesterday, you can take a look off of my website- Spring Catalog! I am super excited about it, and I am hoping that this will be a successful season for me with Thirty One, my "regular" job is not being very pleasant about having to work around G's appt's, even though I am approved for FMLA. So I am praying that I start doing really well. I am having a birthday/housewarming/open house next week, and I really hope that I have a good turn out.

What a long week
I can't believe that I haven't blogged in almost a week, trust me it has not be for lack of trying or wanting to. Moving has been such a pain. Not only that but I have sick for the last two days, so fun times. I have tons to post, and tons to talk about. But will need to try to do it tonight from home.
They have basically went ahead and said that G is showing alot of signs of ODD. Her first counselling appointment, where they just met with me in today, so please keep me in your thoughts!

My Weekly Recap
This week I am doing a weekly recap. I have had ALOT of things happen this week, some good, some bad. So since I wanted to share them all, I figured that I would do a recap with the highlights. This may be a long post of if you read it, I am thanking you now for it :) I think I am going to break it down into category's, so here we go.
My Blog- What an exciting week. I'm guest hosting a weekend blog hop on one my favorite blogs, and did another week of "tell me Thursday" on one of my other favorite blogs! I am hoping that since we will finally have internet at our new house today, I will be able to check out the new followers I have, and follow back. Since I am pretty sure that my work would not be happy about the amount of posting I am actully doing from work..lol I am pretty proud of myself though, as I have been posting something almost everyday.
My Kids- It was a pretty tough week with G this week. She has had a hard time at school, and required alot extra support and also a trip to the Dr. Her Dr seems to think she is showing signs of ODD. And possibly some very, very mild sensory issues. So that was a whole lot to take in. But the positive to it is that since we are seeing these signs now, we can do counseling, and some serious behavior modifications, if these things are stressful and we are seeing improvements then we will not need to put her on meds. And that's what everyone is trying to avoid. I did just get an email from the school, and she did get 100 on her spelling test this week, so that is HUGE for her. My oldest- K- will be turning 15 in less then 6 days, she will be getting her learners permit. So watch out :)
Our new house, and the lovely IRS- So we are now first time homeowners- super exciting!! I love, love, love our new house. It's amazing and we have so much more room. I can not wait to start working on the small changes we are going to make. And I was so excited because for the first time EVER, I was able to file my taxes on the first day that they were accepting them. So that ment I didn't have to do the normal "rapid refund" because I would get all my refund on the 25th. Well the 25th has come and gone. Now they are saying I may have it on the 31st. But if I don't to wait until Feb 5th, and then call them. SERIOUSLY. They have no problem taking my money out each week, at least keep your word when you say that you are going to be sending me some of that money back, I have bills to pay, and well I really want a new couch.
Thirty One Stuff- So just 5 more days until the Spring Catalog launch, I am super excited ( I do have a link to it if you would like to see it, just let me know) With the move and the whole tax issue it has put me VERY VERY far behind. I am needing to book about 3 more party's a month then normal with us buying the house. These can be home, catalog, or online. So since I so busy with moving, I haven't been working on this and am very very stressed about it. I think that I am going to promote to Sr Consultant this month. So I am super excited about that. I am lucky that I have an amazing team of girls under me!

Tell Me Thursday!
One of my favorite Blogs to read New Mommy Confessions has been doing something called " Tell Me Thursday" I love it, because it gives me the chance to share some random things about me, and also go to other blogs and read some random things about others! It's a whole lot of fun :) This week has a super crazy week for us- but we finally bought a house, so that has been exciting for us. We did get some answer's and some new things we need to try with the little one behavior wise, but I will update on that tomorrow.

- What is your least favorite part of blogging? Nothing really, sometimes it's hard to find time, and I am really trying to blog at least something everyday. So I wish I had a little bit more time in the day to spend blogging.
- Does your blog have a focus? - No, not really. I was going to start it off as more of a military life/mommy blog, but that's kind of gotten away from me. Now I just post about anything and everything. So military life makes it in there, but so do my current geek obsessions and whatever horrible thing my kid just did.
- What is your latest project? Well we signed paper's on our house yesterday, so I have tons of projects going on with that- painting, putting down new flooring, and working on the yard!
- And just because : Favorite TV show? - That's a hard one for me, I watch ALOT of TV. The really love biggest loser, grey's, and I've watched General Hospital since I was a little girl.

Seven things about Nikki :
1. I really enjoy reality tv, I find it to be a mini break from "real life" because nothing on these show's is actually "real". Except for the biggest loser, I think that's pretty close. I also say after every season of the bachelor and the bachelorette that I am NEVER watching this show again, only to turn in each and every season and complain about the same things!
2. I think it's super important to treat people the way that you want to be treated, I really try to follow this, and I am not a fan of fake people. I am going to tell you what I think, like it or not.
3. I have been engaged and with the same wonderful man for 9 years, and no we do not as of now have a date set!
4. As much as I complain how my regular job drives me INSANE, I really love it. Even our most pain in my tail customers.
5. I was one of "those" Mom's, when my oldest daughter came home and said she no longer wanted to cheer all stars I was devastated, I ranted and raved, told her that we had spent thousands of dollars on cheer and I could not believe she was giving it up. I cried alot, I had decided that I was going to make her do it, I was an irrational mess...lol Then I calmed down, realized I was being one of "those Moms" and stopped talking to her about it, respected her choice and left it alone. She then came home 2 months later and said that she was trying out for high school cheer- again I made no big deal out of it- she tried out, made varsity as a freshmen, and yes I cried. And my youngest still cheer's, so I am a very proud cheer mom :)
6. I really enjoy watching dance moms, and toddlers and tiara's- it makes me feel like a way less crazy cheer mom :)
7. I have alot of friends, what that really means is that I have about 5 friends that I can really count on when I need them!

Moving, Moving and more Moving
Does anyone else hate to move? Because I realized this weekend, that it is a task that I really do not enjoy. Finally after 9 years, we are buying a house, an amazing house, and trust me I am so excited about it! It has way more space then we have now, an extra bedroom (4 total), a family room in the basement, and an actually laundry room. And it is convently located 5 minutes from both of my girls schools, now we are 15-20 minutes away. And I don't know about anyone else, but mornings are NOT my most favorite time of the day. For some reason it is all I can do to get my kids, and myself out the door with enough time to drop them off at school, and drive all the way back across town to make it to work by 8am. I know my boss is seriously annoyed with the morning phone call of.... I'm stuck in the car line, I'm running about 5 behind! Oh and were buying so what could be better then no longer having to throw money away each month on rent? I can tell you, since we are doing owner financing, the people living there now opted to not buy ( too much space for them, or something) so they said they would be out by the 20th. We give notice where we are now that we will be out by the 22nd figuring that gives us two full days to move. Well on the 19th we find out that she will not be out until possibly the 23rd or 24th, but for sure by the 1st. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?! We had to be out of our house yesterday, as the new renters are moving in on the 24th. So in the last 24 hours we have moved our stuff out of the old house, into a u haul, and now we get to sit and wait for the next two days while we see if she will be out. If she's not out, then we get to move all of our stuff to storage for a grand total of 6 days until we can move in. FUN, FUN TIMES. All of this while we are stay with my in law's - thank goodness they are letting us stay with them, because I do know that having to pay to stay in a hotel and waste that money would annoy me even more than I am already annoyed.
To top it off, I sell Thirty One part time ( like you didn't know for reading my blog) but our new catalog comes out in 9 days. I have tons of people wanting to set up dates for party's, get catalogs mailed out, I have about 10 giveaways and 3 online/catalog party's going on or starting in the next 10 days. All of my things are packed up, I am really stressing about that because these are things that I need to get done. And the longer it takes for us to get into the house, the longer it will take for me to get organized! Thirty One is one of the things I really want to focus on this year, and this whole moving thing right now in the middle of a catalog change is not helping things at all.
I love the joy's and stress of moving :) And I know that if I can hang on for just a few more days that we will be moving into our wonderful new house, I just don't deal well with not being in my own space.

- How long have you been blogging? - I just started this month, and I LOVE it :) I have found so many interesting and funny blogs out there that I never knew about!
- Why did you start blogging? - So that I could put my thoughts and idea's out there, post cute pictures of my Thirty One, and host giveaways.
- Do you enjoy it? - I really like it, I think that it's great to be able to get feedback from other people that you normally wouldn't. Plus it kind of keeps me accountable for my goals.
- What do you do for fun when you're offline? - Does drive my kids around count..lol I watch tv, read, cook, and spend time with my amazing kids :)
- If the internet died tomorrow, how much would it affect you? - Ummmmm tons, since the company I work for is an internet provider.
Love and Logic Update
So I am almost done with the book. Basically I have taken some things that I like out it and some things I like out another book and am using both of them. The main two things are consistency and choices. Last night I decided that I was going to try a little bit of this out, after a fantastic day at school- until the last 20 minutes of the day.
G got her home reader level changed yesterday ( super proud of her ) so normally I would just tell her to go and bring me her home reader. Since I knew this was something that I didn't need for her to right away, so I simply said to her- " I would really love to see your home reader that you brought home, since your level went up, when you have a minute can you bring it me so I can see it?" She went and got her home reader, and even sat there and did her reading. So homework is now done for the night! Homework is a HUGE battle. I then ask her to please bring me her binder, so we can sign off on it, she tells me no, and I let that go for the moment. About 10 minutes later she asks me to pour her a drink, I respond with " I would love to get you a drink, but remember when I asked you to bring me your binder? You didn't want too, and now I don't feel like getting up" Binder is in my hand not 30 seconds later- no arguing, no begging and pleading, no threats of loss of privileges.
Bath time is another nightly struggle at our house. So I just simply told her, "I would really like it if you could watch American Idol with us tonight, but before we do you need to take a bath. I am going to start it in about 30 minutes" 10 minutes later she is getting in the bath.
So far so good, hopefully this is something that is going to work for us. I know that I am worn out with consent struggles and battles. I know that it is going to take sometime, but at least we are seeing some improvements!!

What a week, and it's only Tuesday
Have you ever just been over it at the beginning of the week? Well that's my week ( all two days of it so far) I need a break, like a week off. In the last 2 days we have gotten some really bad news, have to move(which we knew was coming up), and both of my kids are acting crazy.
Yesterday was a holiday, so that means no school. I had to practicly bribe my 14 year old to stay home with her sister. To which she could not grasp the fact that I ask her to babysit maybe once a month. I know she has friends that babysit ALL THE TIME. Then I got calls all day long, to the point where I almost had to send my Mom over there, because of the fact that they just can't manage to act right. So I get home, and I think they are going to act right, oh no, it's just the beginning of it for the night. I really don't understand how two kids, with 7 years in between them can fight so much!
Now today I have had 2 calls from the school for my youngest. I am really just a loss for words at this point. We tell her everyday how important it is for her to listen and keep her hands to herself. We have told her this, taken away privileges, and read all kinds of books. The school suggested that we start using, Love and Logic, which is what they are using at school. The book has some really good points, but it also has some really bad reviews, so I just don't know.
What I would really like is for both of my kids to listen to me, be respectful, and for both of them to not get in trouble at school.

Love and Logic
I'm wondering if anyone has tried this in disciplining their children. During my very long meeting with the school yesterday, this was suggested to me. All I have read on it has been positive and this is what the teachers are using at school. So I am now getting ready to start reading the book, and applying what I learn at home.
Basically I have to have follow through at home, and my child loves to argue with me, who knew? :) Because I have known this for a long time.
So anyone have any thoughts to share with me on this? I would love some feedback!

Yesterday was just a not so fun Mom day!
I have two daughters, two very, very different daughters. My oldest is almost 15 and my youngest is 7. They are seriously night and day, and they both seriously got in trouble yesterday for two completely different things. So this blog post may be LONG, but well I feel the need to share. I will though explain the differences in my girls so that you have a better understanding, starting with oldest, because it explains a bit why I have no clue why youngest does some of the things that she does.
My oldest is almost 15, less then a month and she will be driving herself, which makes the story even funnier, because we were in the car talking about her getting ready to get her permit when she almost got grounded until her birthday. Kate was such an easy child, never in trouble at school, honor's student, great trumpet player, she did competitive cheerleading for 4 years, then this year made her varsity squad as a freshman, teacher's LOVE her, they want a classroom full of kids just like her. Now that you think my child is the perfect child, don't be confused- at home she is a smart mouth, fights with her sister all the time, won't pick up after herself, stay's on her phone/text/facebook, and thinks my sole purpose in life is to be her taxi/ATM/maid.
So we are driving down the road last night, and my fiance (boyfriend of 9 years, life partner, baby daddy) goes " That's why teenagers don't need to drive, look at that car, it's all over the place, cutting in and out of car's" Then they cut us off and turned- way to fast. But not before we noticed that it was not just any car of teenage drivers, but my lovely daughter and her friends. I then get irate, and not just a little irate, but full out screaming and yelling about how if she can't ride with responsible drivers then she doesn't need to ride with anyone but her parents. And this is how kids end up getting killed, you know that whole nine yards. So I call her and she of course doesn't pick up because she knows that shes in trouble. Finally I do get in touch with her, and well she is not happy with what I have to say, and of course I am the worst mother in the world because I want to keep her safe.
And now my youngest daughter, who is a handful, she is mouthy, and strong willed, and wants her own way all the time, she pushes every button I have and knows that she can wear me down, she also does competitive cheer, and is a girl scout. Gracie was very sick when she was little, she had a rare disorder called Langerhans's Cell Histiocytosis. So she has been babied ALOT. She is my baby, she is the funniest, loving child ever. She is also pretty darn mean sometimes. We get regular call's from the school, her principal and I are on a first name basis, I talk to her some day's more then I talk to my friends. So yesterday the school emails start coming at about 11:30, Gracie doesn't want to do anything asked of her, she's pushing, arguing with friends, ect. So I am not happy by the time I pick her up, she then has cheer, which I can't keep her from practicing, because she's on a team and it's not fair to the other girls on her team. So what does she do, act's HORRIBLE the last part of practice.
So now both of my kids are grounded for the next week.... more fun times at my house.
My oldest is almost 15, less then a month and she will be driving herself, which makes the story even funnier, because we were in the car talking about her getting ready to get her permit when she almost got grounded until her birthday. Kate was such an easy child, never in trouble at school, honor's student, great trumpet player, she did competitive cheerleading for 4 years, then this year made her varsity squad as a freshman, teacher's LOVE her, they want a classroom full of kids just like her. Now that you think my child is the perfect child, don't be confused- at home she is a smart mouth, fights with her sister all the time, won't pick up after herself, stay's on her phone/text/facebook, and thinks my sole purpose in life is to be her taxi/ATM/maid.

Another On time morning!
Being on time may be an easy thing for some, for me not so much, I'm the friend that you have, that you make sure to tell to meet you 20 minutes before we actually need to be somewhere, that way I will only be 5 minutes later then I should be.
So we had another successful morning at our house. We got up, laid out the clothes, set the timer, and got to it. Now to my youngest I think she is thinking that her and I are racing to get ready fastest. She even got her things for cheer this afternoon, and put them in her bag without me having to ask her. For us this is a HUGE step. Morning's, homework, and bedtime are the hardest things in our house for her. I'm not saying that we have concurred mornings by any means, I know that 3 good mornings DOES NOT mean that we are over the struggle, but it does give me hope that things are getting easier with her.
Now if I could just get my teenage daughter to be as nice to me as she is to everyone else :)

UGH...Monday
Why is it that Monday seems like it always comes so fast? And why is it that if I am in a great mood when I walk in the door at work on a Monday, normally by about 9am my good mood is gone?
One of the things I want to do with the new year is be more positive, I think I am going to take Monday mornings out of that. We got off to a pretty good start this morning, I did the whole timer thing again this morning for the little one, and to my surprise it worked again. Then we got to school and she started with the whole- I'm sleepy, I want to go home, blah, blah blah..... So now I am wondering just how long it will be until I get a call/email from the school. I've accepted the fact that my youngest is going to push the limit's as much as she can, but I still hope for everyday to be a good day.
On the plus side my weekend was great! Saturday was the Spring Premiere for Thirty One, which of course was just amazing! I love the new products, and I love the fact that I get to do something I love while spending time with my two besties, yes they both sell. So it was great getting to spend time with them and the other amazing women on our team. I am super excited to start doing spring party's and I have tons of new things planned that are hopefully going to help me to grow my business. I really would like to promote by August!! So wish me luck :)
I hope that I continue to have readers on my blog, I know that I post about a ton of different things, and that my blog is all over the place. But I am writing about my life, and well my life is all over the place!

Look at the cute stuff that came in my mailbox today!!
Let me just say, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it when I get customer order's in. I know that some rep's like to have items shipped to the customer, not me! I like to be able to see whats come in, make sure that everything is okay and tie some cute ribbon around the handle with a thank you card!

Being the Mom of a VERY Strong Willed Child.
I think I have said this before, but I don't want my blog to be all about doing giveaways and reviews. I kinda want to be able to blog about all area's of my life. And I am way to lazy to keep two separate blogs :) I'm trying to come up with a way to kinda merge everything together.
So anyways, I am the mother of a VERY, and when I say VERY I mean, very, very strong willed child. Almost everything in our house is a struggle and a power battle. I started reading a book about strong willed children (on my brand new Kindle Fire, that I love) And one of the things they suggested is if you have a straggler in the morning, to set a timer, give them that much time to get dressed and ready and when the timer goes off your done. Even if that means putting the clothes in a bag and walking out the door. When I read this I was like- SERIOUSLY, REALLY, NO WAY that is going to work.
Fast forward to this morning, my lovely 7 year old was doing her normal taking her time, I can't put my own clothes on, I don't want to do it, if your a Mom you know the 100's of excused you will here. All of this is going while I am trying to get ready. So what do I do? I set her clothes out, explain to her that I am going to set the timer for 15 minutes, we have to be out the door when it goes off, and anything not on or together will be staying at the house, and yes that might mean you go to school in your jammies. I then ignored her, and continued to get ready to go. And then to my surprise when the timer went off, she was dressed, with backpack and ready to go!!
Anyone else have a hard time getting the kids out the door in the morning? What works for you?

Thirty One Spring Premier!!
Here's what I got in the mail today-
Many of you are most likely wondering, what is this, and why is it so important, or at least important enough to blog about..lol Well it's my ticket to Thirty One's Spring Premier this weekend! I am super excited to see all the great new product's that we have coming out!
One of the things that I am really focusing on for the new year is putting time in my business. My goal is to spend at least an hour an day working on Thirty One stuff, rather it's making call's to book party's, putting together packets, and doing training!

So I was a little iffy about this whole blogging thing, I've tried this before and well never got really far. Todays day three, I've posted each day, and people are actully reading, who would have thought :)
In the last few days I have realized that I don't have to have a "theme" to my blog, its okay to do some giveaways, post about my kids, my job, thirty one and well basicly whats on my mind! And itsokay to post more then once a day..lol
I really hope that my blog will become an enjoyable thing for people to read, and I hope you come back alot!

Goals for 2012
You may have noticed that I didn't write " New Year's Resolutions" and there is a reason. I think that goal's are much easier to reach. So here they are- let me know what you think!
Personal-
- Eat more healthy
- Exercise more.
- Only eat out once a week.
You may notice the 3 of these together look like they could equal a DIET- and yes I am sure that they do, we are just not the D-word :)
Family-
- More consistently in my discipline with my girls, they know that if they push and push they will wear me down and I will say yes.
- Sitting down to dinner together at least 4 nights a week, I know that this will be hard because of all the things that we have going on, but I think it is very important for us to start doing.
- Spending more time with my fiance. Sometimes he takes the back burner to all the things I have going on with my kids. I need to set out some time just for him.
Thirty One-
- At least one home party a week. I would like to also do at least 3 catalog/online party's a month. By March I want to double this number, and triple it by June.
- One new recruit to out team each month.
I'm sure there are many more things that I could tackle, but I am starting out slow. Wish me luck :)
